STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN - The Show

Get ready for the unexpected! Giancarlo Scalia opens the door to a world where anything is possible, far beyond our everyday reality, where mystery and the beauty of the impossible take centre stage.

Magic, unexpected twists, surreal moments, and humor blend into a journey where nothing is quite what it seems and where strange things just seem to happen all around.

Who Is Giancarlo Scalia?

Italian by birth, Giancarlo moved to Madrid to learn from the greatest magicians in the world. Along with conjuring, he has studied acting, physical theatre and mime with the goal of artistic expression through movement gestures, technique and emotion. He has performed in the biggest stages in Europe, Asia and beyond.

Despite his young age, his dedication to his craft, his mastery of technique, and his poetic performances have been admired by the some of magic's biggest names. Though relatively unknown on this side of the Atlantic (at least for the time being), he recently appeared on Penn & Teller's Fool Us, and did not disappoint mesmerising them with his artistry. And of course he also fooled them very, very badly.

As writer/director R. Paul Wilson says of Giancarlo, he is truly "one of magic's best kept secrets".

This is Giancarlo's first visit to Canada, and we're excited to have him for a one-night-only performance of his show STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN at The Comedy Nest. We hope you will be there to watch one of magic's rising stars charm us, entertain us and leave us completely in awe. It will be an evening that you will not soon forget.

Note: If you've read this far, and you're a magician who wants to learn from Giancarlo, we're also hosting a special lecture (May 28) as well as a private workshop (May 30). More details soon. Subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to know.
